This experience reimagines our dev and ad solutions suite as a highly social, tactile IRL activation—part discovery hub, part nostalgic escape. Designed to feel personal and endlessly browsable, the space encourages community-building while spotlighting our newest offerings and partners.
Drawing inspiration from iconic video and game rental stores like Blockbuster and GameStop, we infused the space with universally recognizable cues, then gave them a fresh, future-facing twist that feels distinctly Discord.
Our goal: to create the familiar, neighborly warmth that made those spaces so memorable—the kind of place you could get lost in for hours. By blending nostalgic throwbacks with modern references like Tower Records and Vidiots, we found the sweet spot between past and present, comfort and innovation.
Exclusive Merch for Discord at GDC
We created a limited-edition line of merchandise for the Discord Games + More store, inspired by gaming culture and retro shop nostalgia. Highlights included a developer-themed twist on our beloved mascot Wumpus, plus collectible accessories like a Quests NES cartridge, posters, vintage-style DVD cases, stickers, and even a pair of socks designed to match our booth carpet.
