Discord brand evolution

Discord’s updated identity reaffirms its commitment to being the best place for friends to connect—before, during, and after gaming. This project focuses on enhancing the brand’s visual identity, refining the tone, and ensuring messaging consistency to align with the new company goals and deep-rooted dedication to the gaming community.

Character development

As part of the first phase of our brand refresh, we updated our core characters—Wumpus, Nelly, and Clyde—while also introducing nine secondary characters. These secondary characters function like NPCs, representing Discord users in various interactions.

3D Icons

We designed 3D icons inspired by iconic gaming references to infuse a sense of playfulness and nostalgia into our visuals. These icons enhance the brand’s personality, creating a fun, dynamic, and immersive visual experience across all touchpoints.

Web Redesign - phase 2

With the Brand Guidelines finalized, we moved into Phase 2, focusing on updating all web surfaces to reflect Discord’s refreshed identity. This phase includes a comprehensive redesign of our website, landing pages, and app store presence, ensuring a consistent, modern, and engaging experience across all touchpoints.
